East China Jiaotong University , located in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, is a teaching and research university with transportation as its characteristic, rail as its core, and coordinated development of multiple disciplines. It has been selected by the Ministry of Education of China, the national training program for innovation and entrepreneurship of college students, the new engineering research and practice program of the Ministry of Education of China, the first-class discipline construction university of Jiangxi Province, the national typical experience university of graduate employment, the national typical experience university of innovation and entrepreneurship, the national demonstration university of deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform, the national innovation and entrepreneurship base for practice education of college students, the national cultural and quality education base for college students, the national intellectual property training base. It is also the founding member of China-Russia Transportation University Alliance and China-ASEAN Railway Transportation Education and Training Alliance.

Anhui University (ANU), located in Hefei, Anhui Province, is a university jointly built by the Ministry of Education and the Anhui Provincial People's Government, the National Defense Science and Technology Industry Bureau and the Anhui Provincial People's Government, a national "double first-class" university, and a national "211 project" university. "It is a university under the construction of the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Anhui Province, a university under the construction of the National Defense Science and Technology Industry Bureau and the People's Government of Anhui Province, a university under the construction of the National "Double First Class" and the National "211 Project".  The university is also the core member of Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center Education and Research Zone, and a key comprehensive university in Anhui Province.
